| Stelladaptor Atari 2600 Controller-to-USB Interface |
|
Stelladaptor Front |
The Stelladaptor 2600 Controller to USB Interface allows the use of standard Atari 2600-compatible controllers, including joysticks, paddles, and driving controllers, with modern computers running Windows, Macintosh, or Linux operating systems. Stelladaptor will work with any emulators that support standard HID-class USB game controllers. Any Atari 2600-compatible joystick, when plugged into your computer through the Stelladaptor, will behave as a normal joystick. This allows the use of classic Atari controllers with any software that will work with an 8-direction digital joystick controller (left, right, up, down, and diagonals). In addition to joystick controllers, the Stelladaptor also automatically recognizes the Atari 2600 paddle and driving controllers. To take advantage of these controllers, software running on the host computer (such as emulators or games) must be updated to accurately handle the data being sent by the Stelladaptor. Stelladaptor features: * Use original Atari 2600 controllers with your PC, Macintosh, or Linux
computer The Stelladaptor is available for purchase from AtariAge. February 2, 2005: The Stelladaptor is the winner of the 2004 Stan's Atari Excellence "Player's Choice Award"! Click here to read the review. June 15, 2004: The Stelladaptor has received the Golden CX-40 Award from Back In Time! |

| Redemption 5200 Controller Adaptor |
|
Redemption 5200 - Atari 2600 / Sega Edition |
As any fans of the Atari 5200 are acutely aware, the standard controllers Atari shipped with the 5200 are lacking in several areas. The largest problem is that they are prone to failure, and it's difficult to find 5200 controllers that are 100% functioning. The second problem is that even when you find yourself in the company of working 5200 controllers they are not the greatest controllers to actually use when you want to enjoy games. The analog joystick is non-centering, making it difficult to maintain accurate control in many games, and the fire buttons are uncomfortable and awkward to use. Redemption 5200 allows you to use Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Sega SMS/Genesis, and PC controllers on the Atari 5200. Redemption 5200 comes in three editions: * Atari 2600 and Sega SMS/Genesis All Redemption 5200 editions allow you to plug in a standard Atari 5200 controller, giving simultaneous access to the 5200 Keypad for games that require it. The Redemption 5200 Controller Adapter has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. |
